The Goddess of Wealth and Fortune at Gaysorn was born from the holy sea of milk on a lotus blossom during the famed quest of the Elixir of Immortality, Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth & fortune & is one of the three most powerful goddesses. She is renowned for her beauty and is worshipped to receive good luck in wealth, fortune and success in business negotiations. The Lakshmi Shrine can be found on the fourth-floor rooftop of Gaysorn Village, open from 10am - 6pm daily, with lifts in Gaysorn Centre going up to the rooftop floor. For directions, please contact Gaysorn Concierges on ground and 2nd floors. Worshippers pray with 9 joss sticks and a pink lotus flower which should be prepared prior to arrival (there are no prayer items for sale directly on-site). If prayers are answered, the worshipper should return and make a further offering of cane juice, coconut or Thai sweets.
The God of 4 Directions, Lord Jatulokbal is the ultimate protector of the North, South, East and West. Ensuring that all humankind is at peace and far from sadness, 4 of the most powerful gods are combined into one supreme deity. Jatulokbal is worshipped by those facing danger or who hold dangerous jobs, and Jatulokbal is also the protector of the Buddhist religion. In his eight arms, Jatulokbal holds a sword, spear, conch shell, a disc, a bag of gold coins, and a scepter. The shrine is on the fourth-floor outdoor terrace at Gaysorn Village in the same area as Lakshmi Shrine. At the shrine worshippers can pray for luck, power, & protection including for journeys, by lighting incense or offering horse and elephant statues. The shrine is open from 10am - 6pm daily.
