THE ST. REGIS BANGKOK COLLABORATES WITH ACCLAIMED INDIAN RESTAURANT FOR SUNDAY BRUNCH GUEST CHEF SESSIONS

The St. Regis Bangkok welcomes renowned Indian chef Ganesh Yadav, Executive Sous Chef from Indus Bangkok,
for an exclusive guest chef session
at The St. Regis Bangkok.

 

Chef Ganesh will be presenting the time-honored flavors of India at the Exquisite Sunday Brunch on Sunday, 24th April 2022 at VIU Restaurant.

For one day only, Chef Ganesh will showcase the complex flavors of Indian cuisine including Sikandri Raan, a seven-hour slow cooked pulled leg of mutton served with a flat flaky and fluffy bread called Malabar Parantha. The dish, whose history dates back to 300 BC, is believed to have been served as a special banquet dish, when Alexander the Great captured the Indian King Porus in battle.

Also on the menu is a Lucknowi Chicken Dum Biryani, featuring spiced chicken, caramelized onion, basmati rice, layered and cooked in a sealed pot called “dum”. Diners can also enjoy Papadi Chaat, the popular street food snack found on street corners throughout the Indian capital, and Papadam, served with raw mango, tamarind, mint chutneys and pickled onion.

In addition to the special pop-up menu, the weekly Exquisite Sunday Brunch features an extensive selection of premium dishes, including all-you-can-eat Alaska king crab, Wagyu beef with truffle sauce, sea urchin (uni) pasta, a smorgasbord of Western and Asian food selections, artisan goat cheese, cold cuts including Parma ham and chorizo, a dessert corner with handcrafted pastries and a Belgium chocolate fountain.

Prior to joining Indus in 2018, Chef Ganesh has worked in his native India for over 15 years. Under his leadership, Indus was awarded Michelin Plate for the 5th consecutive year in Michelin Guide Thailand 2022.
